Second Monday of Each Month – September through June

HAM ‘N EGGS

We also get together on the last Saturday of each month at the restaurant in the Ramada Hotel for a breakfast “get together”. We start gathering around 8:00 AM to enjoy a very good breakfast and great company. A few of the members can also be found most weekday mornings at 10:00AM at Claudine’s Eatery (formerly Beairsto’s Restaurant) on Main Street to have a cuppa and “swap a few lies”.

Please join us any time, whether you are a member of FARC or not. Meet old friends and make new ones – bring a friend along.

COURSES FOR PROSPECTIVE HAMS

Basic Amateur Radio Courses are presented by the Club in accordance with demand. Usually they are conducted in the winter months with classes held two evenings per week over 12 weeks. Various members of the Club coordinate and teach the course. Delegated examiners conduct the Industry Canada exam when the course is complete. If you would like to enroll in a class or simply want more information, contact Heath (VE9NHS) by at EMAIL

EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS

Our Communications Response Team (CRT) is very involved with different organizations and municipalities such as Emergency Measures (EMO), Red Cross, Search and Rescue, City of Fredericton, Town of Oromocto, Village of New Maryland, etc. so that in a real Emergency the members will be ready to provide back-up communications. We also assist the Fredericton Police Force every Halloween by providing communications patrols throughout key areas of the City.
